Rwanda Gorilla Tracking- EX- Kigali
EX- KIGALI
Day 1 : Kigali to Ruhengeri
Picked from your hotel at your convenient time and mostly
after lunch or on arrival at the airport and drive northwards.
The road takes you through the beautiful terraced hillsides
that characterizes much of Rwanda’s landscape,
gradually climbing to the base of the awesome volcanoes,
with many peaks visible on clear days. Continue to Ruhengeri
for overnight at Gorilla Nest Hotel or Kinigi Guest House.
(Drive takes a minimum of 3 hours)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
Morning you will be driven to park headquarters after
briefing start off the adventure with trackers. Tracking
may take 2- 8 hours depending on the movement of these
primates. Overnight will be at Gorilla Nest Hotel or Kinigi Hotel,dinner and
overnight.
Day 3 : Return to Kigali
After breakfast drive to Kigali or to the airport with
Lunch stop on the way.
Rwanda Gorilla Tracking- EX- Kampala
We have presented 2 convenient options of tracking gorilas in Rwanda and mostly for those with short of time and on budget while visiting the East African region. One option clients can start from Kigali and end there (EX- Kigali). While the other option is starting from Kampala and end from there (EX - Kampala). Alternatively it is possible to start in either Kigali or Kampala and in either.
Parc National des Volcans (PNV) is located in the southern part of Uganda after crossing Uganda Rwanda border through Kisoro in the north of Rwanda between volcanic mountain ranges of Muhavura where about over 300 mountain gorillas find their natural habitat. From Kampala the location is in the southern part of the country after crossing Uganda Rwanda border from Kisoro town. There are seven habituated gorilla families – Amahoro, “Group 13”, Sabinyo and Susa - etc , each of the groups allows up to 8 people per day. You can track gorillas, or add on climbing the volcanoes Muhabura, Karisimbi or Gahinga, track the golden monkeys or visit the Karisoke Research Centre, where Dian Fossey grave is located the author of “ gorillas in the mist” or visit local communities.
EX- KAMPALA
Day 1 : Kampala to Ruhengeri - Rwanda
Picked from your hotel in the early morning and drive
from Kampala with lunch stop in Kabale and proceed to
Kisoro. Cross the border and drive to Ruhengeri for
overnight at Gorilla Nest Hotel or Kinigi Hotel. (Drive
takes a minimum of 9 hours)
Day 2: Gorilla tracking
Morning you will be driven to park headquarters after
briefing start off the adventure with trackers. Tracking
may take 5- 8 hours depending on the movement of these
primates. Overnight will be the side of Rwanda at Gorilla Nest Hotel or Kinigi Hotel, dinner and
overnight.
Day 3: Driven Back to Kampala
After breakfast cross border back into Uganda and be driven to Kampala or Entebbe airport
with Lunch stop on the way. If time allows stop at the Equator crossing line where the 2 earth hemispheres meet. Take some memorable photos while standing across both hemispheres.

Accommodation available can be grouped as upmarket, medium
class and low cost budget accommodation facilities.
We use luxury at request and have used upmarket,medium and low cost budget facilities depending
on your choice and budget. However in few cases, upmarket
facilities may not be available and medium facilities have
been used where medium facilities are not available we have
used low cost.
