TERMS AND CONDITONS
Safari Vehicles:
We use
safari-designed vehicles
like open roof vehicles with hatches to allow game viewing easily and photography, land cruisers special buses for this
purpose. We use 4x4 wheel drive vehicles in good mechanical
state. These include normal Land
Cruisers, Coasta buses and Toyota Hiace mini buses.
Our fleet of vehicles have electric open roofs or pop
up roofs that can allow game viewing photographing and
sight seeing easier to clients. Where open roof are
not available, at least vehicles with sliding windows
and air cone working are used.
Driver/ guides
We employ experienced tour guides. Some of the few guides
provide their services on hire basis. However the company
has own trained guides who render professional services and
make your safari a memorable one. Our guides have great knowledge of the the industry, experienced and render quality
services that make our safari packages attractive. These guides
are continuously used where to handle clients to recommendable
standards. Bird watching safaris include special bird guides
all throughout with their associated expenses.
Pre-Safari Planning
A successful safari/tour, needs right pre-safari designing
and planning to cater for clients' interests. This has been
our specialty and we can easily identify clients interests
and be able satisfy him/her/their interests.
A successful trip must be handled well from the time of first inquiry until confirmed. The booking and reservation will be carried out as per clients' choice to avoid embarrassments. We value clients' interests and observe them when selling and executing a trip in relation to culture wildlife, birds, fauna and flora, and help you to achieve more and appreciate Uganda as a destination.
Accommodation
Accommodation is based on twin sharing or double. Where client
is to stay single, single supplement has been provided. Luxury/ upmarket/Middle
Hotels/ lodges and budget with basic facilities in budget
options have been used in our costing. Mid rates
where not available a budget facility has been taken
into account. Accommodation will be provided in accordance
with itinerary or similar in both options of middle and budget
rates. Budget facilities are basic.
Clients seeking to stay in first class hotels
and luxury lodges, a list has been provided where
to stay for you to choose at your own descrition
.
Meals
Three meals per day -breakfast, lunch or packed and dinner
while on safari. 1st day of arrival meals are based on dinner
and breakfast. Meal plan is at full board unless specified
in the tailor made programs.
Park fees
Park fees have been covered and these include: park
entrance fees, game reserves, boat cruises and rides, park
ranger guides, natural walks and chimp permits.
Gorilla Permits
Gorilla permits are sold on first come first serve basis hence
need to book early at least 6 months in advance(or immediately
once a safari is confirmed and depend on availability). Clients
who do not wish to track gorillas in the group can pay less
gorilla permit in Bwindi park and Mgahinga park $500 and {Rwanda
$500 not covered in the cost}. However we have standardized
our gorilla programs to allow flexibility to track in all
parks mentioned including Rwanda in order not
to miss out on viewing these gentle giants. However clients
will be requested to top up on gorilla permit, border crossing
fee and accommodation if tracking will be done in Rwanda.
In Birding safaris gorilla tracking has been taken as an option.
Clients who wish to track gorillas will add permit fees on
the stated price.
Bwindi gorilla permits sell out first and clients need to try other parks because viewing is the same. However Mgahinga Gorillas at times cross border to DRC and Rwanda and make tracking impossible. When this happens clients will be diverted to Rwanda provided a top up is done to cover costs. Or arrangements will be done to refund permit money later after Uganda Wildlife Authority as paid out the refund basing on their policy.
Payment Policy Schedules and Terms.
Payment terms have been made easier for both parties to execute
transaction easily and the following will be observed:
DepositA safari confirmation will need 40% deposit. Where a safari includes gorilla permit (s) an equivalent price will be paid or whichever is higher.Final Pay30 days prior to departure date balance will be paid. Where a safari is confirmed within a period 45-30 days, 50% will be deposited on confirmation and balance be paid 15 working days prior to departure date.All safari funds must be fully paid before the start of the safari.Mode of payment
- Telegraphic Transfer (TT). Wire transfer to our specified account (NET of bank charges).
- Credit Cards: At the moment we are not accepting credit cards, as it requires some minimum standards to observe. However in future, together with our banks are steamlining the whole process and soon will start accepting them.
- Cash payments. Cash payment is accepted only where it appears as the only option to pay, clients are requested to pay full amount on arrival or before the safari begins.
- Traveling Cheques will be accepted on the understanding of both parties.
Airport Transfers
Transfers (airport) are provided only on packages booked privately.
Group departure begin from Kampala and clients will be
picked from their hotels or residences in Kampala. Where
departure dates and time coincide with the last day of the safari,
clients will be dropped at the airport. For clients arriving
or departing on alternate dates transfers will be provided
at additional cost upon request prior to departure and we need
to be informed early to include this service on your invoice.
However Most Hotel establishments offer airport transfers upon
request.
Cancellations by the Company
In the unfortunate event that the company has to cancel the
reservation made it will offer the alternative service or
refund funds paid less some deosits done and gorilla permit funds are not refundable.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of client canceling :
- 21 days and above prior to departure date a charge 20% will levied
- 14 - 7 days to departure date 50%
- 6 days to 3 days 75%
- 2 days full forfeiture of funds
Gorilla permit funds are not refundable. Client who falls sick
after arriving at the park or fail to see gorillas while
in the park will be refunded with a confirmation document from
park management in question. See cancellation policy on the
very permit issued to you.
Liability
- While the company provides all the services, to the best of its ability for your comfort and safety, it will be noted that all safaris are taken at the risk of the client(s).
- The company and all its employees and its agents act only as agents of the passenger at all times in all mattes relating to tours and it accepts no responsibility for any illness, injury, death, loss or damage to persons or property.
- The company will not be held responsible for any delays, cancellations, or non - acceptance of reservations. We do our best to ensure that each program advertised is properly arranged we have no direct control over services provided outside the company and can therefore not be held responsible.
- The company has the right to subcontract all or part of the service or change part or whole of the itinerary program should conditions necessitate.
- Any case arrising will be handeled by the laws of Uganda
Supplements
A supplement charge will be applied to all tours operating between
December 23rd and Jan 3rd and in some cases during Easter season
Tour Price
All tour price packages are quoted in U.S.A Dollars and based
at the time of publishing. All prices are subject to change
without notice.
Tour cost does not include:
All expenses of personal nature, personal Insurance, tips, laundry, beverages,
gratuities, souvenirs and border country crossing fees
(visas). Tipping is done at each persons' discretion
and not mandatory
on clients' satisfaction.
