Is it a reality, Tourists are stressed in Uganda?

Filed under: Uncategorized — travelhe @ 12:18 am

There is a figure of complain that the Immigration officials in Uganda are harassing tourists and hampering their stay in the country. ‘We are harassed’, one Canadian tourist lamented. But is it true? Tourists claimed that the immigration office in Kampala retains their passport for days when they apply for an extension of their stay in the country. However, the Immigration Department dismissed the allegation saying the authentic tourists are suitably served and that in cases where passports are retained for extension receipt documents, which allow the tourists’ movement as he or she waits are issued. Uganda’s name ‘the pearl of Africa’ is not only because of the wildlife in the National Parks, but the people in the country; their hospitality and warm welcome to stranger’s attributes greatly to Uganda’s name, the pearl of Africa.
