UGANDA FLYINGS SAFARI SCHEDULE 9:
4 Days Kidepo Valley National Park
We carryout scheduled flying safaris and charter safaris to Kidepo National park in the northeastern of Uganda bordering Sudan And Kenya. We fly you there and stay 3 nights and on the 4th day you are flown back to Entebbe.
Game viewing is spectacular and unique game is found in this park. Ostrich being the popular unique sight and the Kori bustard are principally associated with arid regions, lion and 80 species of mammals listed in 1971, 28 were not known to occur in any other Ugandan park. Carnivore species unique to Kidepo and Karamoja region include the bat-eared fox, striped hyena, aardwolf, k,caracal, cheetah and hunting dog. Less common ungulates include the greater and lesser kudu, Chandlers Mountain reedbuc klipspringer, dikdik and bright gazelle; beisa oryx and roan antelope have been severely depleted by poachers in the recent years. Among other large ungulates are elephant, burchell's zebra, bush pig, warthog, rothschild giraffe, cape buffalo, eland, bush buck, bush duskier, defassa water buck, bohor reed buck, jackson's hartbeest and oribi. Five species of primate are found in the park of which the Kavirondo bush baby is endemic. Carnivores present include lion, leopard, several small cats, spotted hyena, black-backed jackal and side-striped jackal. The easiest to see being the jackals.
Accommodation at Apoka Safari Lodge has been newly completed and will give you wholesome experience in this park.
Activities include nature walks with trained guides, tracing game and looking fr huge ostrich that wonder this parkalong a sandy dry riverbeds. Apoka, where you can dive off a huge boulder into Uganda’s only rock pool…and watch the animals at their watering hole at the same time. In this park the sun rises from the crest between two hills, and sets behind a dramatic range of craggy mountains, bathing the entire valley in a golden light. Where you sleep in your great big bed, in romantic beds hearing to lions roar, knowing that your are as far away from city life as you are ever going to get. It a good hideaway for honeymooners’ paradise.
