Tourism Police and Uganda Wildlife Authority Enforcement can tell us ivory scams better
Uganda national parks used to be protected by their own force. This force was highly trained and experienced at protecting wildlife . They were trained until seen that someone is developing passion for wildlife and then they would be deployed to protect wildlife in the national parks. Now what is going wrong today?
Today passion for wild life has died and has been replaced with money. The question is “how much do i have to earn? to protect wildlife. at least people believe that village or area is peaceful with no robberies not until a Police station is brought closer. Will start experiencing robberies, mounted roadblocks etc. all this the society usually attributes to police existence in the certain area.
Uganda tourism is abound to suffer is this is not addressed in the right channels. Wild life will disappear totally and after tourism will die completely. Today Uganda safaris will disappear and tourism will be dead shortly. An appeal to those concerned to have all concerned efforts and fight the vice.
Tourism police and park enforcement who claim to be protecting wildlife could be doing the opposite as they plunder the parks.
